3rd Brazilian Congress of Music Iconography

Call for Papers: deadline May 31, 2015

The Organizing Committee of the 3rd Brazilian Congress of Music Iconography, promoted by RIdIM-Brazil in collaboration with the Federal University of Bahia, invites proposals for paper presentations to be held in Salvador, Bahia, 20-24 July 2015.

The theme “Iconography, music and culture: relations and transits” seeks to bring together professors, researchers, technicians and other professionals or students in the areas of Music, History, Art History, Visual Arts, Museology, Restoration and Information Science (among other related fields) interested in iconography and its
relationship and transits with general culture, art and/or music, both at national and continental levels.

Proposals (unpublished and to be inserted into one of the planned session topics, include various aspects related to the disciplines involved) should be sent by May 31, 2015 in abstract form (up to 300 words) by the online submission system available at https://www.portaleventos.mus.ufba.br (by clicking in the conference link).

La grève à Radio France est reconduite jusqu'à lundi

Après plus de trois semaines de grève, le mouvement à Radio France a été reconduit jusqu'au lundi 13 avril, lors d'une assemblée générale, vendredi 10 avril.

La poursuite de la grève a été votée à une très forte majorité. Une rencontre entre les syndicats et le médiateur, nommé par le gouvernement jeudi pour dénouer le conflit, devait se tenir en fin de matinée et une nouvelle AG pourrait avoir lieu ensuite.

La Société des chorales allemandes porte plainte contre le ministère de l'Éducation

La Société des chorales allemandes (Der Deutsche Chorverband) porte plainte contre le ministère de l'Éducation).

Forte de 22 000 membres, la société est la plus importante organisation de chant choral en Allemagne.

Le litige porte sur l'attribution de 5 millions d'euros.

Selon la Société, le ministère avait promis ce somme pour des projets particuliers pour aider l'insertion sociale d'enfant de familles démunies (il y a 15,5 millions de pauvres en Allemagne).

Puis, jugeant les projets déficients, le ministère a bloqué les subventions.

Ils sont venus pour Brahms et Schumann. Ils sortent heureux d'avoir écouté Schönberg et Berg… Réjouissant ou décevant ? Paradoxal ? Le programme s'ouvre et se ferme par chacune des deux sonates pour clarinette et piano, ultimes œuvres de musique de chambre de Brahms, ultimes chefs-d'œuvre aussi¹. Entre elles, les 6 kleine Klavierstücke, opus 19, de Schönberg, les Fantasiestücke, opus 73, de Schumann, et les 4 pièces pour clarinette et piano de Berg. Riche programme dont la composition est explicitée par Andreas Staier, toujours aussi pédagogue, qui précise que son instrument est un Blüthner de 1856.
