Call for Papers
The 15th Biennial International Conference on Baroque
Music will be hosted by the Music Department of the
University of Southampton from Wednesday 11 July to
Sunday 15 July 2012 inclusive.
Proposals are invited for:
1) Individual papers of 20 minutes duration (followed
by questions and discussion). Speakers will be grouped
into sessions of three or four papers in related areas.
2) Round-table sessions of one and a half hours,
including discussion.
The deadline for receipt of abstracts is Sunday 15
January 2012. Proposals in any area of Baroque music
are welcome.
The organisers anticipate that individual papers
(1) and some sessions with multiple participants (2)
will be presented in simultaneous strands, grouped by
subject areas. Those areas will be determined by the
nature of the proposals received.
Individuals may submit one proposal in the form of
an abstract of not more than 250 words (individual papers),
or not more than 350 words (group sessions).
Acceptance of a proposal will be at the discretion
of the organizers. The abstract should be preceded by
information under the following headings: Name, Institution,
Postal Address, Phone, Fax, E-mail Address.

for the text of abstracts, but please back up the attachment
with a plain-text version in the main email.

Les musicales du Puy-en-Velay du 11 au 18 juillet
Dans le cadre exceptionnel de la haute ville du Puy-en-Velay, à l'aube du 40e anniversaire qui sera fêté en 2013, la scène 2012 des Musicales sera créative, gonflée, enthousiaste et colorée, alternant les rythmes endiablés de groupes espagnols et de grandes créations artistiques plus sereines. Cette année sera un grand cru de culture latine avec une résonance particulièrement hispanisante.
À l'origine, Festival de création et d'expression latino-américain, les Musicales du Puy-en-Velay s'ouvrent à toute la musique latine.
10 stages (choeurs, musiques, danses et technique) sont assurés par des professeurs et des musiciens professionnels, 5 concerts, des soirées off et de nombreux moments musicaux sont programmés sur un seul site, exceptionnel.
Installé au Centre Pierre Cardinal, et sur l'Esplanade Claude Nougaro, le Festival s'ancre au cœur de la haute ville offrant, en un seul lieu : hébergements, restauration et salles de travail pour les stagiaires, scènes pour les concerts, espaces arborés pour les soirées off.
