Mason John
1706-1763
Né à Dunmow dans l'Essex en 1706, mort à Cheshunt le 10 février 1763.
Pasteur. Il est précepteur et chapelain dans la famille du gouverneur Feaks, près de Hatfield. En 1729, il est pasteur d'une congrégation presbytérienne à Dorking (Surrey).
Il publie en 1743, Plea for Christianity et en 1745, Treatise on Self-Knowledge.
En juillet 1746 il est pasteur d'une congrégation regroupant presbytériens et indépendants à Cheshunt.
Il peut avoir obtenu un master à l'université d'Édimbourg entre 1746 et 1749.
Il a enseigné de futurs ministres du culte. Une sélection de ses cours a été et publié dans la revue Protestant Dissenter's Magazine en 1794-1796.
