IMS is announcing a joint conference of the IMS study groups “Music
Migrations and Networking” and of the IMS study group “Mediterranean Music Studies”/sub-group "Circulation of Opera" on the topic: Music Migrations and the Opera in the Mediterranean, on 23-24 April 2026 in Hvar (on the Island of Hvar, Croatia). If you want to share any topic dealing with the theme, please contact the organizers (Maja Milošević, Dinko Fabris or Vjera Katalinić) by the end of February 2026.

Hvar can be easily reached via Split (airport, train, bus, ferry) and by ferry to Hvar. There is the oldest municipal theatre on the eastern shores of the Adriatic (1612), that is still in use, which will house the meeting.
