Mathématicien et astronome. Son père était un joueur de
tambour. Lecteur du Coran à Damas, il devient un mathématicien et un
astronome connu. Ses ouvrages sont souvent confondus avec ceux de son
petit fils sibi al-Mardini.

excellente des personnes : texte en prose et en vers relatant la
naissance et la vie de Muhammad. Il fut chanté à l’occasion de
l’anniversaire du prophète.
